Supply Chain Analyst: 

This is a full-time, exempt position, located in Raleigh, NC, reporting to the Supply Chain Associate Director.

Purpose of the Role:  

Responsible for ensuring the analytical and qualitative methods that are adopted by the company relating to the supply chain processes are properly coordinated and followed. This job will help us increase efficiency and reduce costs with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations by identifies underperforming areas in the supply chain and suggest improvements or resolutions to problems. In this role, you must have an analytical mind and a strong business acumen. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts data analysis to improve the supply chain operations
  • Assist in the negotiation of supplier contracts or service arrangements
  • Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
  • Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g. warehouse, route planning, production planning, customer service)
  • Develop requirements and standards (e.g. packaging, procurement, delivery, inventory management, demand planning)
  • Oversee inventory procedures to ensure the correct inventory levels are maintained
  • Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules to meet customers’ demand.
  • Evaluate vendor operations (e.g. freight forwarders, contract manufacturers) according to quality standards
  • Help foster trusting relationships with business partners
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems
  • Develop and track KPIs to report on supply chain’s performance





Position Requirements

Core Skills, Education and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst
  • Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting
  • Must have strong analytical skills and should be familiar with logistics and production planning.
  • Understands forecasting and purchasing
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. inventory planning, warehouse management)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Analytical mind with business acumen
  • Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational ability
  • BSc/BA in Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics or a related field
  • Familiarity with cGMP/FDA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of purchasing and procurement practices and techniques.
  • Project Management skills and experience
