Blending Tech - 2nd Shift
Brief Summary of Position

Hours for this position are 3:30pm to 12:00am, some OT will be required.

New Starting wage of $18.25/hr. while training on first shift then $20.25 when you go to 2nd shift.

 

Cleans, sanitizes, and operates blending and packaging equipment including MSG & Blending while maintaining accurate records in a clean room environment a second shift schedule.

Sets up and operates mixing and packaging process equipment . Performs operations and minor maintenance activities in an environment which requires full gowning and occasional respirator use. Ensures product safety and minimize environmental impact. Identifies potential hazards and unsafe working conditions and report them immediately.

 - Blending 
  *Pre-weigh ingredients for processing, using floor or bench scales.
  *Raw material validation, (Lot code, expiration date, & quantity including weights).
  *Following batch data sheets, (including Blend time and speed).  
  *Documentation, which includes HACCP checks, traceability checks, & etc.).
  *Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using forklifts/pallet jacks and hand tools.
  *Unload mixtures into containers (bulk or retail) for further processing.
  *Add or mix chemicals and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices per batch sheets.
  *Compound and process ingredients or dyes according to batch sheets.
  *Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into mixers.
  *Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standards.
  *Open discharge valves to drain product from mixers into temp storage containers.
  *Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials such as spices, yeast extracts, enzymes, chemicals, lakes and dyes, or other ingredients.
  *Read SOP's and batch sheets to determine production specifications and other information.

 Overall Operation 
  *Monitors process variables and take action to get back into norm.
  *Begins to monitor for unusual process conditions.
  *Accurately records operational and process data on specified forms, in accordance with FSSC22000, ISO9001, & ASQUA requirements.
  *Collects samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.

Position Requirements

High School diploma or GED requested, not required

Preferred work experience in a clean room environment

Leadership qualities

Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Mathematics: Knowledge of basic arithmetic, ability to use calculator.• Background with process equipment, hand tools, forklift, and computer.

Availability to work overtime daily and weekends.
Able to work hours as assigned.
Flexibility to support / train across two shifts
