Corporate (QES) Quality, Environment, Safety Supervisor

This is a full-time position located in either Eddyville IA, or Itasca, IL.


Responsibilities Include:

 

I. Corporate Quality, Environment and Safety/Risk Management (Corporate QES) Department

I.1. Quality

Support Quality Management System in Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition Companies (AHN)

·         Act as a secretariat for QES Director

·         Refine content and take the chair of the Bi-Annual QM meeting

·         Design future QMS in Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition

·         Update FDA registrations as required by the FDA

Promote AHN ISO9001 certification to all companies 

·         Help to start-up CT ISO 9001 programs

·         Support other AHN companies with ISO 9001

·         Attend Plant Management Review Meetings

Support Quality Assurance activities in Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition

·         Especially the Iowa, Massachusetts and North Carolina Plants

·         Quality audits for contract manufacturers, suppliers and warehouses

·         Assessment support of new products etc.

·         Support Purchasing and Coproduct Quality audit needs

Further establishment of ASQUA (Ajinomoto Internal QMS)

·         Coordinated response to AJINOMOTO Tokyo requests

      (Ex. Review, prepare and submit annual and midyear reviews)

 

I.2. Environment

Further establishment of ASREP and ACSES in AHN companies

·               Coordinate responses to AJINOMOTO Tokyo requests

      (Ex. Review, prepare and submit annual and midyear reviews)

Design future EMS (or IMS) for AHN companies

Attend AHN Plant Management Review Meetings

 

I.3. Safety

Lead OH&S activity for workers in AHN

Respond to AJINOMOTO Tokyo requests

Plan, Lead and Coordinate Safety Audits of AHN Plants

Design/support a future program (implementation of IMS) with the Plants

Attend AHN Plant Management Review Meetings

 

I.4. Risk Management

Risk management support related with all QES issues

 

 

 



Position Requirements

Requirements of the Role:


  • Bachelor ‘s degree preferred
  • Good organization skills and leadership
  • Excel, word and PowerPoint proficient
  • QES audit experience is preferred but not required
  • GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45000 experience a plus
  • Must be willing to attend external training (yearly and as required)
  • Regulatory experience a plus but not required 
  • Must be willing to travel (approximately 30-40% to start)
